What mmry keeps

When you sign in, mmry receives your name, email address, and a stable account identifier from the sign-in service. mmry assigns a separate private identifier so a sign-in email change does not split your learning history.

mmry stores your selected practice level, assisted reveals, achievements, proof attempts, correction positions, words the recognizer heard when a correction was needed, clean-word streaks, and celebrations. This information powers your progress, memory bank, and spaced recall schedule.

A group owner or admin adds the texts in a shared library. Those texts and their sources are visible only to active members of that private group. Your individual learning history is not shown to other learners. A steward can see names and the limited progress needed to manage proof and celebrations in the current family experience; mmry does not share microphone audio recordings.

What happens when you recite

mmry asks for microphone access only when you begin spoken proof. Your browser or operating system turns the live speech into words; depending on the device and its settings, that speech-recognition service may process audio on the device or through its provider.

mmry does not receive, upload, or store the microphone recording. It receives recognized words from the browser, compares them with the expected text, and saves only the proof progress and correction details described above.

On this device

The installed web app may temporarily keep unsynced practice progress, a steward’s unfinished text draft, and whether you have seen a practice tip. This device-local information helps mmry recover from a lost connection or an interrupted session. It is not used for advertising or tracking.

Hosting and disclosure

OpenAI provides ChatGPT sign-in and Sites hosting. Cloudflare infrastructure delivers the app and stores its service database. These providers process network, account, and app information only as needed to provide and secure their services. mmry uses providers whose data protections are consistent with this policy and requires the same or equivalent care for information they process.

mmry does not sell personal information, rent it, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

Information may be disclosed when required to comply with law, protect the security of the service, or respond to a valid legal process. This private-group app does not currently include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

How long information stays

Account and learning records remain while your mmry account exists so that progress and recall history survive across devices. Account deletion removes those records from mmry’s active database. Hosting providers may retain limited security logs or disaster-recovery backups for their provider-defined retention periods; mmry does not use them to recreate a deleted account.

Shared library texts are retained for their invited group. In the current family experience, if the steward deletes their personal account, stewardship transfers to a non-personal mmry custodian record and the former steward’s identity is removed from those texts. The group rollout will require an explicit ownership transfer or group deletion before a general group owner can erase an account.

Your choices

You can stop microphone access in your device settings and continue visual practice; spoken proof will remain unavailable until access is restored. You can sign out without deleting anything.

To permanently delete your account, open your profile from the top of any signed-in screen, choose Delete account, and confirm. mmry removes your identity, practice, achievement, proof, memory-bank, and celebration records. Shared group texts managed by the current family steward remain available without that person’s identity attached.
